Driver License Reader 3.01

This application provides the capability to decode PDF417 barcodes typically found on the reverse side of US and Canadian driver's licenses. It allows users to extract and save license information directly to a file named ID_List.txt, which is accessible through iTunes File Sharing, ensuring that sensitive personal data remains securely stored on the iOS device.

The application includes configurable settings that enable the optional saving of the associated license images alongside the decoded data. This feature provides flexibility depending on user requirements.

In addition to North American licenses, the app can process European-style driver's licenses; however, it does not implement language-specific recognition rules to enhance optical character recognition (OCR) accuracy for these documents.

Furthermore, the app allows users to save images of IDs within its private file space. These images are accessible via iTunes File Sharing, which helps prevent potential privacy issues related to accidental uploading of personal data to cloud services. Users can also delete stored ID images through iTunes File Sharing as needed.
